SALVATION IN JESUS

_.jpg

Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.”  There is only one way for a person to go to Heaven.  This matter is clarified in John 3:16-17 which says, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.  For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.”  Jesus came into the world to save and not condemn. However, many people do not realize why it is they need Jesus.  The Bible explains to us that we are sinners.

Romans 3:23 says, "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”  This verse is not meant to comfort us by letting us know there are other people who struggle with sin.  Rather, it is meant to reveal to us that we have fallen short of God’s standard.  When He said not to lie, we lied.  When He said to always put Him first in our lives, we did not do so.  The list could go on and on.  The point is we have failed God.  This failure is called sin.  Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”  There are consequences for sinning against God.  The Bible explains very clearly that the consequences (wages) of our sin is death in hell.  That is the bad news.  However, there is good news.  When we finally realize our need, that we are broken and sinful, we can understand and desire God’s solution.  What is God’s solution?  God the Father loved you so much that He sent Jesus to live a perfectly sinless life and die on a cross in your place.

You are the one deserving of punishment and the full consequences of your sin, but Jesus died for you.  Christ then rose from the grave. After He died He came back to life.  Now, He offers the free gift of life to all those who will surrender their life to Him and receive Him as Lord and Savior.  The Bible calls Jesus the rescuer.  He is the One who rescues us from the domain of darkness.  Romans 10:13 says, "Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”  Perhaps, today you want to call out to Jesus to be saved from your sin and the consequences of your sin.  Below is a link to email us if you would like to find out more about receiving Christ as your Savior. There is also a phone number you can call.  Perhaps, you are ready right now to receive Christ.  If so, here is a simple prayer that just may express your heart.  This not a magical prayer, but simply some words that will guide you as you express your need to the Lord Jesus. Simply pray, “Lord Jesus, I know that I have sinned and am a sinner.  I know there are consequences of sin that await me.  I know without you I will not go to Heaven.  I surrender my life to you and receive you as my Savior.  I surrender to you and desire for you to be the Lord of my Life.  I turn from my sin and turn solely and wholly to you.  I do not want to live in my old sinful lifestyle.  You don’t like that and since you don’t like it I don’t like it. Please save me.  Thank You for saving me!  Amen!”  If you have prayed this prayer please contact us through one of the means provided below.  Thank you!
